1) Syllabus prescribes the topics and concepts on the basis of which students will be tested in the final examination. A syllabus actually serves as the contract between the students and the teachers which contains functions and ideas that are used for the assessment of the students’ performance

2) We can say that syllabus is course planning tool, by knowing this teacher can prepare and make study materials.

3) It conveys the clear idea about course and what knowledge will they gain throughout the chapters.

4) If you know the syllabus , you can make a good plan for exam preparation perfectly.

5) Exam pattern gives you idea about paper setting rules and weightage of chapters.

By analyzing question papers, students can list out one mark to 6 marks carrying chapters separately.
with the help of analysis papers, students will get ability to recognize his real ability to secure marks.

Students can list out one questions appeared in previous year papers separately chapter-wise.
if student separate all 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 marks carrying questions separately according chapters, will boosts marks.

Step 4: Get perfect reference books

Karnataka PU Board strictly declared that , paper setter must follow prescribed NCERT BOOK while setting question papers.

so students , you all must refer NCERT Books only.

[NOTE: Students are advised not to collect many notes from different sources other than NCERT Text book. refer NCERT Text book or Notes prepared by Subject expert or by your college lecture.]

Step 5: Prepare study time table

Many students usually ask this question that, what time is suitable to study? some students like to study early morning while some in night, it depends on students.

so prepare time table whichever you feel comfortable but give more priority to tough subjects.
before you prepare time table , you have to make a list of your strength and weakness in subjects.

NOTE: Give more time to tough subjects until you become strong in subject.

Study max 2 hours per subject and give minimum 5 to 10 minute break before you start another subject.

Cover all subjects in time table in a day schedule, do not ignore language subjects which boosts your overall subjects.

If time table does not workout, change time table or do some modifications to continue.
