Detail rules and procedure to apply for Rejecting the subjects
The Department of Pre-University Education has made a provision for students who have passed or failed in Second Year PUC to reject the result in the passed subject/s if the candidates are not satisfied with the marks obtained in the subject/s.
Two attempts would be provided to reject the result. Students who wish to reject the result should do so with in the 3 consecutive examinations to be conducted from the examination in which the candidates have obtained this mark. Out of these three examinations the candidates can reject the result in any two.
When the candidates reject the result of a particular subject in Part -1 or in Part-2 and if the candidates have obtained the marks between 30 and 34 in any other subject/s in that part the candidates must reject the result of that subject/ those subjects. This rule is applicable to Part- 1 and Part- 2 Independently.
Once the result of a particular subject is rejected there is no provision to restore the original marks again. The candidates have to accept whatever marks they get in that examination.
Students who have obtained permission to reject the result but change their mind and decide not to reject the result should inform the Department at least 2 days prior to the commencement of the examination through the concerned principal in writing and take back the permission provided to reject the result. Then the application for rejection gets cancelled.
